Controversy erupts over Bianca Censori’s revealing red carpet look

Kanye West is once again making headlines, this time for defending his wife, Bianca Censori’s sheer outfit at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The couple’s appearance at the Crypto.com Arena on February 3 turned into one of the most talked-about moments in Grammy history.

The Grammys red carpet spectacle

The rapper and his wife arrived at the prestigious event, with Bianca Censori initially draped in an oversized black fur coat. However, she soon removed it, revealing a completely see-through dress that left little to the imagination. The bold fashion choice sparked global outrage, drawing mixed reactions from critics and fans alike.

Adding to the drama, earlier reports suggested that West and Bianca had been escorted out of the venue for arriving without an invitation. However, it was later confirmed that the rapper had indeed been invited but had deliberately chosen not to attend the ceremony, leaving after his red carpet appearance.

Kanye West addresses the backlash

As speculation and criticism swirled, an insider close to West spoke to The Sun, clarifying the rapper’s intentions.

“Ye always planned to do the red carpet and leave—he’d never sit through the Grammys because it’s so dull and boring,” the source revealed.

Regarding Bianca’s sheer ensemble, the insider emphasized that West viewed the moment as an artistic expression rather than a publicity stunt.

“People have called this a stunt, but to Ye, this is his art. He turned up, made headlines around the world, and left. No one told him what to do, and even if they had, he wouldn’t have listened.”

A history of headline-making fashion moments

West, known for his controversial takes and headline-grabbing antics, has long pushed the boundaries of fashion and celebrity culture. Censori, for her part, has gained notoriety for her daring fashion choices, frequently appearing in revealing ensembles that blur the line between art and provocation.

Their Grammys red carpet moment adds to an ever-growing list of bold public appearances, reinforcing Kanye West’s penchant for defying industry norms and commanding global attention—on his own terms.
