A teaser video of the interview was posted to Call Her Daddy’s Instagram on Sunday morning, showing the 30-year-old Cooper in conversation with the Democratic Vice President. While some fans might have expected the podcast’s usual focus on candid discussions about relationships and personal advice, many were unhappy with the political turn.
In the comments section, several fans expressed disappointment and frustration. “One of my most favorite podcasts and now I’ll never listen to it again. Others criticized Cooper for failing to ask Harris about pressing political matters. Many pointed to issues like the administration’s response to Hurricane Helene and the ongoing crisis of illegal immigration. One commenter wrote, “What about the abuse and crime caused by the illegal immigrants flooding the country?” Another called for more substantial questions, suggesting Cooper should have asked Harris about her “best and biggest accomplishment the past 4 years.”
Despite the pushback, Harris took the opportunity to criticize former President Donald Trump during the interview for appointing the Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. The conversation marked a stark contrast to the usual topics discussed on Call Her Daddy, which is known for its unfiltered dialogue about sex and women’s empowerment.
