Jemima Goldsmith, the British filmmaker and former wife of Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan, has married Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly in a private wedding surrounded by family and close friends.

The couple, who had been together for just over a year, reportedly met through their shared work in film and documentary production. Jemima Goldsmith’s family confirmed the wedding through social media, while Tatler reported the couple had tied the knot over the weekend.

The marriage comes more than two decades after Jemima Goldsmith’s divorce from Khan and marks a new chapter for the filmmaker, who has built a career in journalism, television and film.

Who is Cameron O’Reilly?

Cameron O’Reilly, 62, is an Irish-Australian financier, investor and media executive from a prominent business family.

He is the son of the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly, the Irish media magnate and former international rugby player who headed Independent News & Media for many years.

Cameron studied at Oxford before beginning his professional career in the financial and media sectors. He later moved into private equity and technology investment, building his own business interests in Australia and Europe.

How did Cameron O’Reilly make his fortune?

O’Reilly’s best-known business success came through Bayard Capital, the private equity firm he established in 2003.

One of the group’s major investments was Landis+Gyr, a Swiss company specializing in electricity metering technology. O’Reilly became chief executive after Bayard acquired the business and subsequently expanded it internationally.

In 2011, Toshiba agreed to acquire Landis+Gyr for about $2.3 billion. Contemporary reporting said the transaction was expected to generate a substantial return for O’Reilly and other investors.

The deal cemented O’Reilly’s reputation in the investment world and gave him a business profile extending well beyond Australia.

Did O’Reilly work in finance before Bayard Capital?

Yes.

Before establishing Bayard Capital, O’Reilly worked in investment banking and spent part of his early career at Goldman Sachs, according to biographical accounts published about him.

He subsequently moved into the media and investment industries, eventually focusing on technology, infrastructure and energy-related businesses.

His career has therefore straddled several fields rather than following a conventional finance-only path.

What does Cameron O’Reilly do now?

O’Reilly has remained involved in investment while also moving closer to the film and documentary business.

That connection is believed to have played a role in his relationship with Jemima Goldsmith. The couple reportedly met through their professional circles after O’Reilly became involved as an executive producer on films and documentaries. They were friends before beginning a romantic relationship.

The couple has largely kept their relationship away from the public spotlight.

They have reportedly divided their time between Goldsmith’s home in West London and O’Reilly’s residence in Switzerland.

Cameron O’Reilly’s family background

O’Reilly comes from one of Ireland’s better-known business families.

His father, Sir Anthony O’Reilly, was a major div in Irish media and business and was also a celebrated rugby player. Cameron’s own career developed partly within that environment before he established an independent investment career.

His family connections have consequently placed him within both Irish business circles and Britain’s wider media and society networks.

Was Cameron O’Reilly married before?

Yes.

O’Reilly was previously married to Ilse O’Reilly, and the couple have four children together. Reports published before his relationship with Goldsmith said their marriage ended after roughly two decades.

His four children are from that earlier marriage.

Goldsmith also has two children, Sulaiman and Kasim, with Imran Khan.

Who is Jemima Goldsmith?

Goldsmith became internationally known in the 1990s after marrying Imran Khan, then a celebrated Pakistani cricketer.

She was 21 when she married Khan in 1995, while he was 42. After converting to Islam and moving to Pakistan, she became involved in aspects of her husband’s political and philanthropic life.

The couple later divorced in 2004 after nine years of marriage and share two sons.

Goldsmith subsequently returned to Britain and developed an independent career in journalism, television and film. She has worked with publications including the New Statesman and Vanity Fair and has been involved in several documentary and television productions.

What films and television projects has Jemima worked on?

Goldsmith’s career in entertainment has included screenwriting and producing.

She wrote the 2022 romantic comedy What’s Love Got to Do with It?, starring Lily James and Emma Thompson. She has also worked as an executive producer on documentary and television projects, including productions connected to The Clinton Affair and American Crime Story: Impeachment.

Her work has gradually shifted the public focus from her former marriage to Khan toward her own career in media.

How long have Jemima Goldsmith and Cameron O’Reilly been together?

The pair reportedly began dating a little more than a year before their wedding.

Their relationship was kept relatively private, with friends describing O’Reilly as particularly private and Goldsmith as keen to protect their relationship from excessive publicity.

They were publicly spotted together at Wimbledon earlier in 2026, providing a rare glimpse of the couple before news of their marriage emerged.

What is Jemima Goldsmith’s relationship with Imran Khan now?

Jemima Goldsmith and Khan have been divorced since 2004, but their relationship has remained significant because they share two sons.

Jemima Goldsmith and her sons have also publicly supported Khan amid his imprisonment in Pakistan. Her connection to the country has continued through her filmmaking, including What’s Love Got to Do with It?, which has been described as a tribute to Pakistan.

Her marriage to O’Reilly therefore does not erase the longstanding personal and family connection she maintains with Khan and their children.

Why is Cameron O’Reilly’s marriage to Jemima making headlines?

The wedding has attracted attention because both sides of the relationship come from unusually prominent worlds.

Goldsmith is a filmmaker, journalist and member of the British Goldsmith family, while O’Reilly has built a substantial career in investment and technology and is the son of a major Irish media div.

Their relationship also bridges British high society, international finance and the entertainment industry.

Yet despite the public interest, the wedding itself was deliberately kept intimate, with details emerging largely through family posts and society publications rather than through a large public announcement.

For Goldsmith, it marks a fresh chapter after a highly public first marriage. For O’Reilly, it places a notably private financier at the center of renewed public attention.
