London, UK – In an extraordinary turn of events, Suellen Carey, an influencer, model, and renowned Mariah Carey impersonator, has announced the end of her unique marriage to herself. The story, which initially captivated the public’s imagination, now comes to a poignant conclusion nearly a year after her solo wedding.

A marriage like no other

Last year, Carey made headlines by tying the knot with herself in a lavish ceremony in London. Her bold decision to marry herself, a practice known as “sologamy,” was seen as a powerful statement of self-love and independence. However, the journey was not without its trials.

Struggles and realizations

Carey recently disclosed the challenges she faced in her solo marriage. According to a report by the UK publication Mirror, Carey admitted, “It’s crucial to know when to end a cycle.” She added that even a commitment to oneself can be fraught with difficulties, including the unrealistic expectation of being perfect for oneself.

“Even commitment to oneself can have its challenges, such as dealing with the expectation of being perfect for yourself all the time,” she confessed.

Seeking professional help

Despite the hurdles, Carey did not give up easily. She took the unconventional step of attending couple’s therapy to resolve issues in her sologamous marriage. The 36-year-old, born in Brazil but residing in London, revealed that she underwent 10 sessions of therapy, yet the efforts proved futile. “I realized that my sologamous marriage was a process of healing and self-discovery,” Carey mentioned. “But I also understood that personal growth can lead us in different directions.”

Moving forward

Announcing her divorce on Instagram alongside a Pubity post, Carey expressed her readiness to find a new partner. “I need a new husband,” she wrote, signaling a new chapter in her life.
