Imagine your name orbiting the Moon as part of NASA’s historic return to deep space. That dream is now possible thanks to the U.S. space agency’s new campaign, “Send Your Name with Artemis II,” which invites people worldwide to be part of the upcoming lunar mission.

A chance to join a historic mission

Artemis II, scheduled to launch no earlier than April 2026 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, will be the first crewed mission to travel beyond Earth’s orbit in more than 50 years. The 10-day flight will see four astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canada’s Jeremy Hansen, journey around the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft.

This mission will test the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft, laying the groundwork for a sustained human presence on the lunar surface and, eventually, crewed missions to Mars.

How your name will fly to the Moon

Through this initiative, names submitted by the public will be stored on a digital memory card that will travel with Orion. Participants will also be able to download a personalized boarding pass as a keepsake.

NASA has emphasized that the opportunity is open to everyone, regardless of age or nationality. To secure a spot, participants must register before January 21, 2026.
