Both women reportedly began to notice the doll moving on its own and found mysterious notes around the house with messages such as “Help me,” written on parchment paper they claimed was never kept in the home.

Chilling Incidents Linked to the Doll

1. The Warrens’ Involvement and Warnings

Renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren linked the Annabelle doll to numerous demonic activities and near-death experiences. After investigating the case, the Warrens took possession of the doll and placed it in their Occult Museum in Connecticut, enclosed within a specially built glass case.

But even under lockdown, the doll seemed to exert its dark influence.

2. Ed and Lorraine’s car brakes failed

A priest who visited the Warrens and mocked the doll is said to have seen Annabelle’s reflection in his rearview mirror shortly before dying in a car crash. During transport from the nurses’ apartment to the Warrens’ museum, the brakes of their car reportedly failed multiple times. According to Lorraine, Ed was only able to regain control after dousing the doll with holy water.

One of the most cited stories involves a man who tapped on Annabelle’s glass case and laughed. While leaving the museum on his motorcycle with his girlfriend, the couple was involved in a crash. The man died instantly, while the woman survived and later confirmed that they had been mocking the doll shortly before the accident.
