When a Coldplay concert “kiss cam” exposed an awkward moment between Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his company’s Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot, the internet exploded with speculation. But it wasn’t just their nervous reaction that caught attention—it was the woman sitting beside them, whose knowing glance has become the subject of intense scrutiny.

Meet Alyssa Stoddard

Identified through her LinkedIn profile, Alyssa Stoddard is Astronomer’s Senior Director of People, having joined the company in January 2025. She reports directly to Kristin Cabot and specializes in People Operations and Strategy. Before Astronomer, she held HR roles at Neo4j, Proofpoint, and Observe, Inc.

Her reaction in the viral clip, a brief but unmistakable side-eye, has led to countless memes and theories. Many believe she was aware of the alleged relationship between Byron and Cabot, with social media users declaring, “She knows everything.”

The Viral Moment That Started It All

At Coldplay’s Boston concert, the stadium’s “kiss cam” landed on Byron and Cabot, who immediately recoiled, laughing awkwardly before ducking out of view. The moment, captured on video, quickly spread online, raising questions about their professional and personal boundaries.

Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan, an educator at Massachusetts’ Bancroft School. Following the scandal, Megan removed “Byron” from her social media profiles and deactivated her Facebook account amid an outpouring of support from strangers.

Why This Matters

Beyond the personal drama, the situation raises concerns about workplace dynamics at Astronomer, a New York-based data platform company. With Cabot serving as Chief People Officer—the executive responsible for HR policies and employee relations—her alleged involvement with the CEO could create serious conflict-of-interest issues.

So far, Astronomer has remained silent on the matter, despite growing public interest. The company’s leadership team includes co-founder Pete DeJoy (Chief Product Officer), Julian LaNeve (CTO), and Bhanu Sareddy (Chief Customer Officer).

The Internet’s Obsession With Alyssa Stoddard

Stoddard’s brief but telling reaction has turned her into an unintentional meme. Comments like “Alyssa Stoddard’s face is all of HR right now” and “She’s calculating her next LinkedIn post” have flooded social media. Some speculate she was put in an impossible position—knowing about the relationship but unable to act due to corporate hierarchy.

What Happens Next?

The big questions now:

• Will Astronomer address the controversy, or continue staying silent?
• Could this impact the company’s culture and reputation?
• Will Megan Byron speak out publicly?

For now, the internet remains fixated on that split-second reaction—proof that sometimes, the most revealing moments happen off-camera.
