“He said that he might be dead soon”

New details have also emerged about Vance Boelter’s state of mind leading up to the shootings. David Carlson, a 59-year-old Minneapolis resident and longtime friend, told Reuters that Boelter had been living with him for over a year because of proximity to his workplace.

Carlson recalled seeing Boelter on Friday night, just hours before receiving a troubling message from him the next morning. “He said that he might be dead soon,” Carlson told Reuters. He immediately contacted authorities.

Carlson, who has known Boelter since fourth grade, expressed shock and sadness over the events. “His family has got to suffer through this,” he said. “I feel betrayed.”

As of now, the search for Vance Boelter continues, with police urging the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings. Authorities have not confirmed whether Jenny Boelter is suspected of being directly involved in her husband’s alleged crimes.
