“Do the right thing and you will get good things back,” says 14-year-old Cody after a good deed goes viral

Chandler, AZ | June 11, 2025 — What started as an ordinary bike ride for 14-year-old Cody Strecker turned into a life lesson, and a community celebration of honesty and kindness. While cycling near his father’s home in Chandler, Arizona, Cody discovered a lost wallet containing about $300 in cash, along with credit cards, a driver’s license, and health insurance documents.

Instead of pocketing the money, Cody took it upon himself to track down the rightful owner, using social media and public records.
