Who was P.J. Blue?

Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Blue was a highly rated four-star recruit who committed to Louisville in 2016, turning down offers from top programs like Alabama and Clemson. However, his college career was hampered by injuries — including a torn ACL before his debut — that forced him to miss the 2017 and 2019 seasons.

Despite the setbacks, Blue managed to play in 11 games in 2018, starting in four of them. He recorded 39 tackles and two tackles for loss during that season before another injury effectively ended his playing career.

In high school, he earned recognition as an Under Armour All-American and a U.S. Army All-American nominee. He was also named to the All-Metro and first-team All-State teams while at Park Crossing High School.
