Ohio: Burger King employee fired after cannabis found in kid’s meal order
January 18, 2025
13:00
A routine trip to Burger King in Hamilton, Ohio, took an unexpected turn when a customer found cannabis alongside her child’s chicken fries. The incident quickly went viral on TikTok, sparking a mix of humor and outrage online.
The user, identified as Jannabamma, posted a video holding a bowl containing both the chicken fries and the cannabis. “She got her chicken fries. Chicken fries with a side of…” she said, gesturing to the meal on a plate, clearly baffled by the discovery.
In the caption accompanying the TikTok, she added, “Cannot make this up. I didn’t ask for a side of this.”

Though no formal police report has been filed, local authorities are investigating. The Hamilton Police Department confirmed they are “actively investigating the incident.”
The viral TikTok has garnered over 138,000 likes and 4,000 comments, with reactions ranging from shock to humor.
“What exactly did you order…? Like… what words SPECIFICALLY did you say to get THAT exact order? Asking for a friend,” one user joked in the comments.
“Well, you asked for nugs!” quipped another.
The incident has raised concerns about employee conduct and food safety at fast-food establishments. Burger King emphasized its commitment to guest safety, stating that such occurrences are taken seriously to ensure customer trust.
For now, the unusual mix-up serves as a reminder of the unexpected moments that can happen in the world of fast food—and the importance of vigilant oversight to prevent similar incidents in the future.
