“Prostate cancer, like many other cancers, can metastasize to the jaw,” explained Dr. Bozic. “While it’s uncommon, when it does occur, it’s often an indicator that the cancer has spread widely.”

“Patients may experience persistent swelling in the jaw, pain, loose teeth without an obvious cause, or delayed healing after dental extractions,” Dr. Bozic said. In some cases, patients report numbness or tingling in the jaw, which may signal nerve involvement.
