A community steps in to save Max

A photographer documenting the scene found Max wandering near the fire site. Determined to help, the photographer contacted Christopher, a local dog trainer and animal advocate who operates a training center in Altadena.

Christopher shared how he quickly sprang into action. “I couldn’t just leave Max there. He was scared and disoriented, but I knew I could help.” In a now-viral video, Christopher is seen calming Max and safely transporting him to his center, where he provides food, water, and care.

Soon after, Christopher located Max’s family and informed them of his rescue. “Max is safe and in good hands,” he reassured them. “You can come and pick him up anytime.”
