In a heart-stopping incident that could have ended in tragedy, a small twin-engine propeller plane made an emergency landing on State Highway Loop 463, splitting in half after colliding with multiple vehicles and scattering debris across the busy roadway in Texas.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m., transforming an ordinary highway into a scene of extraordinary survival. Witnesses reported seeing the aircraft flying unusually low before its sudden and violent descent.
Resident Tony Poynor provided a chilling account of the moments leading to the crash. “To the left of me you start seeing on the wall a shadow of this plane,” he recalled. “Then it passed over the top of my truck. And it’s still horizontal at this point, then about a quarter of a mile in front of me it starts to wobble.”

According to Victoria Police Department officials, four individuals were injured in the crash. Three sustained non-life-threatening wounds, while the fourth was transported to a medical facility for additional treatment.
Deputy Police Chief Eline Moya expressed astonishment at the outcome. “We are glad that it wasn’t worse than what it is. This is not something we see every day,” she said. “But we are glad that people seem to be OK, and they are getting checked out.”
Anonymous witnesses described the scene as surreal and terrifying. “It was terrifying to see it coming down like that,” one observer noted. “We’re just lucky it wasn’t worse.”

Social media footage captured the plane’s descent, showing the aircraft flying perilously close to the road before making an impact.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified and is expected to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the cause of the crash. Emergency responders quickly secured the area, causing significant traffic disruptions and advising drivers to avoid the location.
