Polish Newlywed’s Tragic Death Linked to Suspected Drug Overdose

A Polish bride’s dream honeymoon in Miami ended in tragedy when she was found dead in the street just 23 days after her wedding. Aleksandra Leczycka, 26, died on August 29, 2022, from what investigators now believe was a suspected drug overdose or a severe allergic reaction to psychoactive substances.

Her husband, Dawid Leczycki, was found unconscious alongside her on the streets of Miami. He survived the incident, but questions swirled for over two years about what led to the couple’s collapse.

The Siedlce District Prosecutor’s Office in Poland recently concluded its investigation, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding Aleksandra’s death.

Initial theories of robbery and doping dismissed

When the couple was discovered, stripped of cash and jewelry, Miami authorities initially suspected they had been drugged and robbed. However, an extensive investigation—including forensic and toxicological analyses—determined the couple had voluntarily consumed psychoactive drugs.

“By a decision dated October 23, 2024, the District Prosecutor’s Office in Siedlce discontinued the investigation into the case of Aleksandra L.,” said Siedlce District Prosecutor Krystyna Golabek. “Extensive investigative measures were carried out, including a request for legal assistance from the American side, which provided materials from their investigation. Expert opinions in the fields of computer science and toxicology were also obtained.”

Golabek noted that while the evidence suggests the couple consumed drugs willingly, investigators could not entirely rule out the possibility of involuntary drugging.

A celebration turns tragic

The couple, from Siedlce, Poland, tied the knot on August 6, 2022, before traveling to Miami for their honeymoon. Aleksandra’s social media posts just hours before her death showed her enjoying drinks and relaxing on the beach.

Her sudden death shocked both her family and local authorities. The cause was officially determined as a drug overdose or allergic reaction, but Dawid has yet to publicly comment on the incident.

The case serves as a somber reminder of the dangers associated with drug use and the lingering mysteries surrounding the tragic end of a young couple’s celebration of love.
