In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Seuk Kim, a 49-year-old pilot renowned for his selfless animal rescue missions, met a tragic end on Sunday while transporting three rescue dogs across New York State. The tragedy unfolded in the woodland area of Windham, leaving the animal rescue community and Kim’s family mourning the loss of a true hero.
According to Greene County Sheriff Peter Kusminsky, Kim was piloting a small aircraft from Maryland to Albany when he reportedly lost control of the plane. The crash site, located approximately 35 miles southwest of his intended destination, became the final resting place for the compassionate pilot who had dedicated his life to saving animals.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Seuk Kim, who left us far too soon while living his dream and making the world a kinder place,” read an online obituary that captured the essence of Kim’s remarkable life.

He found immense joy in flying and used his passion to help others.”
