The encounter, documented by The Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO), occurred after midnight on October 17, 2023, in a known Sasquatch hotspot near the town of Monroe. The witness reported hearing what they described as “screaming/long-duration whooping” echoing through the darkness.

Matthew Moneymaker, founder and investigator at BFRO, has classified this incident as a Class B encounter. While the organization initially held back from publishing the report due to its primarily acoustic nature, they ultimately deemed the witness’s account credible enough for official documentation.

The witness’s account includes a detailed physical description of the alleged creature. “It was solid black from head to toe with no color differences. It was also too large to be a person.
