The encounter, documented by The Bigfoot Field Research Organization (BFRO), occurred after midnight on October 17, 2023, in a known Sasquatch hotspot near the town of Monroe. The witness reported hearing what they described as “screaming/long-duration whooping” echoing through the darkness.

Matthew Moneymaker, founder and investigator at BFRO, has classified this incident as a Class B encounter.
