A massive explosion rocked the area outside Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) near Ankara on Wednesday, leaving multiple people dead and injured in what Turkish authorities have described as a “terrorist attack.”

Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the attack, stating, “A terrorist attack was carried out against the Turkish Aerospace Industries… Unfortunately, we have martyrs and injured people.”

The term “martyrs” is often used in Turkey to refer to soldiers or police officers who have died in service.
