Off-Mic Moment at Kennedy Memorial Service Ignites Political Speculation

In a stunning development that has sent shockwaves through Washington’s political circles, a private conversation between President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama at Ethel Kennedy’s memorial service has been deciphered by a professional lip reader, potentially revealing candid assessments of Vice President Kamala Harris‘ political standing.

The controversial exchange

According to Jeremy Freeman, a London-based forensic lip reader with 16 years of experience as a University College London-certified expert witness, the exchange between the two Democratic leaders included some startling comments:

• Biden: “She’s not as strong as me.”
• Obama: “I know … that’s true. We have time.”
• Biden: “Yeah, we’ll get it in time.”

While Harris was not explicitly named, the context strongly suggests she was the subject of their discussion.

Expert analysis and political implications

Freeman, who has worked with police and journalists, described the conversation as “very supportive” with “no tension” between Obama and Biden. However, the content of their exchange, if accurate, could have significant implications for the Democratic ticket heading into the November 5 election.

A Democratic source, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “From the outset, there has been widespread concern that Harris was not a strong alternative to Biden, who clearly was a sinking ship.”

White House response

The White House has pushed back against the lip reader’s interpretation. Biden spokesman Andrew Bates dismissed the report, saying, “A ‘lip reading expert’? Did your usual right-wing soothsayer have their out-of-office up? Only President Biden and President Obama know what they discussed, but this certainly wasn’t it.”

Polling and political landscape

The controversy comes at a crucial time for the Democratic Party. Recent polls show Harris trailing former President Donald Trump in several key swing states, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Looking ahead

As the Democratic Party grapples with this potential setback, all eyes will be on how Harris and her team respond to these alleged doubts about her political strength. With the election looming, the party faces the challenge of uniting behind their candidate and presenting a formidable opposition to the Republican ticket.

The coming weeks will likely see intense scrutiny of Harris’ campaign strategy and public appearances as she seeks to prove her mettle as the Democratic standard-bearer.
