A popular TikTok influencer, Terryon Thomas, widely known as “Mr. Prada,” has been named a person of interest in connection with the death of a Baton Rouge therapist.

Thomas, 20, was apprehended in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday evening by local law enforcement with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Task Force, according to WBRZ. In addition to this case, the Baton Rouge area has recently seen other troubling incidents, including the arrest of a prison guard tied to a missing girl and the tragic death of a baby allegedly beaten by two cousins while the parents were away.

Thomas, who gained online fame for his engaging “get ready with me” videos and candid posts about his personal life, faces multiple charges including aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. He is also under investigation for his potential involvement in the death of 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham.

Incident details

The arrest warrant details an incident in which a Baton Rouge police officer attempted to stop a black Lincoln MKZ on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, but the driver refused to pull over. Detectives later identified the driver as Thomas. The vehicle, registered to Abraham, was later found abandoned near Juban Crossing in Denham Springs. Abraham’s body had been discovered earlier along U.S. Highway 51. Denham Springs, located just east of Baton Rouge, is approximately 427 miles from Dallas, where Thomas was arrested.

In a statement, District Attorney Hillar Moore commented on the case: “While there was probable cause for an arrest, my office had to determine if the evidence supported our burden at trial, which is proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

This matter was under review by my office for approximately two years. After considering all available evidence, the best interest of the child, and the lack of any inculpatory statements by the arrestee, we declined to institute formal charges.”

Thomas, who boasts over 8 million followers across his two TikTok accounts, is known for sharing intimate glimpses into his life. However, his mugshot, taken after the arrest, paints a starkly different picture from the lighthearted persona with which his millions of followers are familiar.

Meanwhile, a funeral service for William Nicholas Abraham is scheduled to take place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi, though the time remains unconfirmed.
