Actress Sydney Sweeney is reportedly considering converting to Judaism as her relationship with music executive Scooter Braun progresses, according to a report by Page Six. The report, published October 5, 2026, claims that the Euphoria star has met with two rabbis while exploring the possibility of embracing her partner’s faith.

The reported development comes as Sweeney and Braun are said to be discussing marriage and starting a family. However, neither Sweeney nor Braun has publicly confirmed that she intends to convert, making it important to distinguish the reported discussions from an established decision.

According to Page Six, a source familiar with the couple’s relationship said the pair had been discussing having children together and that Braun felt strongly about the subject. The report also linked Sweeney’s reported interest in Judaism to the couple’s conversations about their future.

Here is what has been reported about Sweeney’s religious exploration, her relationship with Braun and the process of converting to Judaism.

Is Sydney Sweeney Considering Converting to Judaism?

According to Page Six, Sweeney has been exploring the possibility of converting to Judaism and has reportedly met with two rabbis to learn more about the process. The report cites unnamed sources and does not establish that she has formally begun or completed a conversion.

The reported discussions are said to be connected to the couple’s plans for a family. However, there has been no public confirmation from Sweeney that she is considering a religious conversion, and the reasons attributed to her should therefore be treated as reported claims rather than confirmed statements from the actress.

Sweeney and Braun have been publicly linked since 2025. They made their relationship more visible in April 2026, when Sweeney shared a photograph of the couple on Instagram Stories and Braun reposted it.

The latest report has prompted questions about whether the actress is preparing to make a significant personal and religious commitment. For now, the available information supports only the conclusion that she is reportedly exploring the possibility.

Did Sydney Sweeney Attend a Synagogue With Scooter Braun?

Sweeney and Braun were reportedly spotted attending Rosh Hashanah services at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, Connecticut. According to accounts cited in media coverage, the couple sat toward the back of the synagogue during the service.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, an important holiday marked by prayer, reflection and gatherings with family and community. Attending a service can offer someone an opportunity to learn about Jewish traditions, particularly when they are in a relationship with a Jewish partner.

However, attending a synagogue service does not, by itself, demonstrate an intention to convert. People may participate in religious services for many reasons, including personal interest, family connections or a desire to understand a partner’s faith.

The reported synagogue visit is therefore relevant context, but it should not be treated as proof that Sweeney has decided to change her religion.

How Does Conversion to Judaism Work?

Conversion to Judaism is a process of religious learning and participation that generally involves working with a rabbi. The exact requirements and duration vary according to the Jewish denomination and the community guiding the prospective convert.

According to the Reform Jewish movement’s official guidance, people considering conversion typically study Jewish theology, history, rituals, customs and religious practice. They may also attend synagogue services, participate in Jewish community life and discuss their motivations with a rabbi.

1. Meeting with a rabbi

The process often begins with a conversation with a rabbi, who explains the religious commitment involved and helps the individual explore their reasons for considering conversion.

A rabbi may guide the prospective convert through the requirements of the relevant Jewish community and recommend a course of study.

2. Studying Jewish beliefs and traditions

Prospective converts generally learn about Jewish history, scripture, religious practices, holidays, ethics and community life.

The amount of study required varies. Reform, Conservative and Orthodox communities may follow different expectations concerning religious observance and preparation.

3. Participating in Jewish community life

Learning about Judaism may also involve attending services, observing holidays and incorporating Jewish traditions into everyday life.

The process is not simply about adopting a label. It involves developing an understanding of the religion and considering what membership in the Jewish community means.

4. Completing the religious requirements

Depending on the denomination and the community’s standards, conversion may involve a formal religious assessment and ritual immersion in a mikveh, a Jewish ritual bath. Some Orthodox conversions also require additional steps under traditional Jewish law.

Recognition of conversions can differ among Jewish denominations, so prospective converts generally work with a rabbi who can explain the requirements and implications of the particular process.

Reform Judaism describes conversion as an individual journey rather than a process with one universal timetable. Consequently, the claim that every conversion takes a fixed number of months or years would be inaccurate.

Who Is Scooter Braun, and Does He Have Children?

Scooter Braun is an American music executive and talent manager known for his work with major recording artists. He was previously married to entrepreneur Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children.

Braun and Cohen married in 2014 and announced their separation in 2021. Their divorce was finalised in 2022.

Sweeney, who has starred in productions including Euphoria, The White Lotus and The Housemaid, has not publicly confirmed plans to have children with Braun. The couple’s reported family discussions are based on media accounts and unnamed sources rather than an official announcement.

The distinction matters because decisions about marriage, children and religion are personal. Although the latest report connects these subjects, it does not establish what the couple has decided or whether Sweeney will ultimately pursue conversion.

What Has Sydney Sweeney Said About Converting?

As of the publication of the reports cited here, there has been no public confirmation from Sweeney that she plans to convert to Judaism or has formally begun the process.

The central claims originate from Page Six, which cited sources familiar with the couple. Other outlets have reported on the same account, but repetition of an anonymously sourced claim does not independently verify it.

Until Sweeney or her representatives comment, the most accurate description is that she is reportedly considering conversion. It would be premature to state that she has changed her religion or that a conversion is underway as a confirmed fact.

What Happens Next?

The reports have brought renewed attention to Sweeney and Braun’s relationship, particularly the possibility that their discussions about a future family could lead to further conversations about faith.

If Sweeney chooses to explore Judaism, the next steps would depend on her own decision and the guidance of the rabbi or community she works with. There is currently no confirmed timetable for a conversion, and no public evidence establishes that she has made a final decision.

For now, the story remains an unconfirmed report about a possible personal choice. Whether Sweeney decides to convert, continues learning about Judaism or ultimately takes a different path remains to be seen.
