The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is asking for the public’s help in locating Stephen Thomas Marek, a 32-year-old man who has been missing from northwest Bakersfield, California, since August 23.
Marek, who has autism, is considered a high-risk missing person, according to KCSO and local outlet KGET. He was last seen leaving his home on foot near Blue Tail Lane and Quail Creek Road.

KCSO is urging anyone with information about Marek’s whereabouts to call 661-861-3110.
Community members are also asked to continue sharing posts with Marek’s description and photo on social platforms to widen the search.
