• Ten percent of the resale profit would stay with the gym
• The remaining profit would go back to Jin
• If unsold within two months, his principal would be returned in full

At first skeptical, Jin was reassured repeatedly by sales staff. The promise of quick, guaranteed returns eventually convinced him to start small, buying two memberships, and then to go all in.
